Title: Griswold griddle with diamond logo
Post by: paulbumsted on December 03, 2005, 11:59:22 AM
Hello Everyone
I am back for more help. The people who make this web site happen are great. I get a lot of good information from here and I would like to thank you for it. In a antique shop I saw a bailed Griswold griddle with the diamond logo. If I remember right it was a 10" and had numbers above the logo. Something like 734. Thats probably not the right number. Anyway the blue book doesn't show it and I wondered if it was woth $100.00. Anyhelp would be appreciated and thanks.

no idea on value. seems a little high but I don't have my books here to see what size it is.  Not all of the items are in 'the books', as we'd need an encyclopedia sized version to hold all of the info, lol.  Hey, now that's not a bad idea.  The complete encyclopedia version of cast iron cookware!!

The pattern number might be 616 or 776 which are both for the No.10 bailed round griddle.  10 bailed griddles are quite scarce and diamond TM's are also so that $100 for the pan might be a decent buy if the pan is nice with no cracks, warps, pitting, has a good casting and markings, etc.
