Neat piece of cast

Not cookware but a neat piece. Twine dispenser the size of a volleyball. Twine ball design. Has what maybe a sprue.  Legs look to be added to mold. Bumps on inside over legs . Heavy wrought ring with wear on inside. Two part pattern line around the middle.  Any ideas? Could this be an old piece or modern import?  Would look great in a butcher shop or general store!
