New Wagner long griddle???
« on: June 20, 2024, 09:36:07 PM »
This website shows the Wagner family is making new iron!?!?

So is this real?

Good Question, the price for it doesn't look too real. Even a Lodge Blacklock griddle only has an MSRP of $100, and it's slightly larger. Seems like an odd piece to try and reboot the brand.

This was posted on Reddit and I found it weird to reboot the brand with a long griddle!?!  Is the factory not destroyed and removed?  People are wondering if this is a scam?

Interesting. How can they use the stylized Sydney O logo?

I just stumbled across the new Wagner website.  I was intending to start a new topic and name it "It Is Alive!" but Will beat me to it.  Here is the Wagner history from the new website:

Thanks for posting the link Jim.  This is from their FAQ's, and it makes me wonder WHO is making their product for them.  They claim it's US made, but where and by whom?

It was interesting to read through all the pages of the website (history, FAQs, contact page). Whoever the new manufacturers are, they do not reveal their identity or location (though they do say the new product is made in USA). The website has a generic feel to it.
I wonder where this will go from here.

My question is why?

You can get a new Lodge for 40 or maybe $70 (your choice).  And regarding Wagner griddles, you can get really nice vintage ones for about half.

Thanks everyone.  So.....is this a legit web page?  And if I order one....will I get one?  Isn't Stargazer making pans in the USA?  Seems some new high end makers are out there.  So are they commissioning the iron to established makers?

Oh what a Long and Winding Path this NEW WAGNER has.

It is a Pennsylvania thing!, literally a few miles away, and buried in layers that go elsewhere!

First off is the WAGNER WARE name, from PA Corporation Bureau

Which takes us to Philadelphia and the address listed is two stories with a UPS Store on the Ground floor.

Then there is the PA Department of State Corporation Bureau that:

First is the Currently Active OLDER registration for Voyager Brands. Picture Number 1

But Wait, there is another newer registration that is NOW INACTIVE ! Picture Number 2

Oh but hold on... again... That Active one lists Cogency Global Inc. a few miles away from ME ! (Picture Number 3)
Which is the AFL/CIO Building in downtown Harrisburg!  <a short trip to town may be indicated! :cheesy:>

But wait, the Inactive PA listing is Stargazer in Allentown, which is still operating ?

Oh but look at the second pic below............

So ... Stargazer is now a FICTIOUS NAME, not a company.

It appears that the ACTIVE Voyager is in fact located in........ HARRISBURG.

I need to personally knock on their door!  jeesh!

Cheryl, once again you cut to the heart of the matter.  An onion is easier to decipher than the myriad layers of false names and addresses and misdirection.  They might as well have claimed  1 Citizen Bank Way, Philadelphia, as their address, or even Lincoln Financial Field.  Kinda like the different movies where the cops end up at Fenway Park, Wrigley Field, or even Yankee Stadium, according to which city is used for said movie, following up on an address given by the suspect.
