  • WAGS: Heartbeat of Cast Iron Cookware Collecting
Ashville North Carolina
« on: October 03, 2024, 06:12:08 AM »
 I'm sitting at my desk thinking about 2018 when the cast iron convention was held in Ashville and the side trips my wife and I took. My son went to Mars Hill University right outside of Weaverville and all the times I have driven past Ashville on interstate 40 on the way to Kentucky. Now I look at all the pictures on the news and I'm just numb thinking about what the people up there are going thru. My niece lives in Chimney Rock and she is fine however her area was hit hard.

Andrew, It appears that none of us are safe from weather related tragedies of all kinds these days. My brother lost 100% of the outside of his 66 year old house from roof ridge to foundation in 20 minutes due to hail. Twelve miles from him, that same afternoon 3 tornadoes ravaged a huge a huge part of Temple Texas.
We have NEVER seen as much hail as we have seen in the last 2-3 years, some as large as pineapples! Severe weather extremes have become the norm.
We pray for mercy for everyone!
Nowhere But TEXAS!
