Wagner 1102A Patent Applied For - Age?
« on: February 04, 2025, 12:49:38 PM »
I have an old Wagner Ware griddle that has been in the family for 60+ years. How can I determine how old it is?

It's marked;

Wagner Ware
Sidney
-0-
Fat Free Fryer
Pat. Applied For
1102A

Hello Tom,

I resized your pic  :smiley: this new forum software likes the smaller file sizes.

Can you provide a pic of the handle, please?

There are THREE different dates of production, based on handle style !

Tom, 60 years is about spot on, as I have a 1955 and a 1959 Wagner pricelist, that shows The Fat Free Fryer with the rounded handle (Not the later Thumb rest style) .

Thank you so much for your help. I remember my parents cooking our pancakes in this pan when I was a child. It came to me and I cooked pancakes for my daughter in it. I added food coloring and made shapes and my pancakes became a legend among her grades school friends.

Now I'm ready to pass the pan down to my daughter for her to make pancakes for my grandson and granddaughter. It would be nice to give her an age for the pan when I pass it down.
