NG to LP
« on: May 12, 2014, 09:46:20 PM »
Hi. Just picked up a 712 double burner and was wanting to convert to propane. What parts do I need to change and where would I find them. I have zero conversion experience. I have the PDF for the restoration and found it invaluable. Thank you all!!! (I do have the grates, they are being cleaned)

I have used propane on the burners without changing the orifice and have had no trouble.  I do think it will be difficult to find a smaller orifice for the propane.  All I did was to turn the valve to about 3/4 the way on.

Some of these stoves were made with an adjustable orifice. Can you show a close up of the valve, where it goes through the round air intake vent?
