At one time you could expect to pay right at two thousand dollars for the griswold number 50 heart and star muffin pan, and the number 100 griswold heart and star muffin pans were bringing from a thousand dollars to twelve hundred each. Now I'd say getting a thousand dollars for the number fifty is good, and for the number 100 I'd say getting four hundred is good. Thats my opinion. Anybody else have an opinion?  :-/

Thanks folks...now I need to go int he garage and find them LOL

I know I paid less than that for them....only reason I bought them....and should have flipped them right away when prices were skyrocketing....but unfortunately, I never got around to it....

....you think the prices are going back up or do you think they've remained flat?  It seems prices for some of the rarer pans have been going back up....but I'm not sure if that's the trend for the muffin pans.....

....I'm in no hurry to sell if it looks like prices are going up.....and I know no one can tell the future....just wondering what folks have been observing...

Well, I'd say that in general cast iron prices are going up. As for the muffin pan market, unless you have a really rare piece, and I mean rare, the market for them is soft.

Wes started a thread here and he asked about the number 0 griswold waffle iron. It brought 1800.00 yesterday. There were other pieces there that brought big money also.

And a Griswold number 13 lid brought thirty seven hundred dollars yesterday at the same auction.  :o :o :o

Thanks for setting me straight Wes. I think I fat fingered the number and come up with a five instead of an eight. Thats why I write the numbers out.

Thanks for the input.....I have noticed prices for the cast iron going up in general which is why I was wondering if the muffin pan market was also following the same trend....I'm in no hurry to sell so maybe I'll sit a little and see what happens...heck, I still need to find them in the garage :-/
