O.k. since no one wants to talk about chrome I.M. Does anyone see many of the skillets on p.134 top right red book. Markings resemble I.M. but has later Gris handle. Nice casting and very light, thats what caught my attention as I was going through a stack of skillets at the flea market. When I saw the markings I thought I.M. First one I've seen in my travels. Its a #7 and cleaned up real nice.

As far as what I know and own, Griswold made these skillets in 3 sizes, 7, 8, and 9. As I was putting my iron back in place after some forced re-arrangement I was a little surprised to see a difference in the markings and handles on the 3 sizes. Knowing Griswold it shouldn't have surprised me that there were differences but still....

These skillets are around but they can be tough to find. I've seen one or two sizes on e-bay and I looked for quite a while to get the 9. FInally found it at an antique store, but probably passed up more than one early on in my skillet lifting carreer.  Even though they are a lot less common than the regular Griswold skillets in this size, I don't think that is enough to command much of a premium price, if any. They are out there and a lot of folks just don't know what they have in their hands. The 3 digit pattern number will tell you what you are holding.  On the iron mountain chrome skillets, I have never seen one in my travels, but if you saw one and the chrome looked original, then there are more than likely other sizes out there.

Good find on the Iron Mountain, no I have not seen chrome. I like Iron Mountain, and only need the more commen #9 and #10 to finish my set. Of course I would love to find that outher hard to find #5 that has the reugler handle, instead of the tear drop hole inside handle.
Now I know I.M.  :-[ stands for Iron Mountain, and thier might be more chrome out thier also.

The chrome looks original. I wouldn't know how to tell if it wasn't. Cooking surface is polished with grinding marks still showing, a little worn in the coreners. Outside sort of dull silver/ grey color. If I get time will get pics of both skillets. Your right Harry ,754 #7 unmarked skillet . Also an 8&9 I'll keep my eyes open for them. Thanks.
