"The Victor" #9 W.I.
« on: December 02, 2003, 01:24:12 AM »
Well gang,  I just picked up a new waffle iron to add to the collection.   Like I don't have enough. ;D

The waffle iron is a #9 scissors hinge "The Victor" waffle iron.   The paddles are marked,

The Victor  996

No. 9 Victor  997

And the base is marked 998 under the handle and has a "V9"  on top of the handle.

Has anyone seen a #9 Victor Waffle iron?   These numbers are not in the book.   I have sent them to Steve and have to send them to Dave.

And what is a little odd,   I don't remember the #8 Victors being marked  "The Victor"  like this #9 is.    I will see if Greg can post some pictures I have.

Any input is appreciated.

Will,
What are the handles like on the two irons if they are still there?   Are they the straight wood handles about 3-1/2" long?

Yes Steve,  they are 3 1/4" and 3 3/8" long staight,  rounded on the end,   black handles.   They look to be origianal.

This is the first I have seen a Victor 9. I have a Victor 8 and it is not marked "The Victor" as your 9 is. Looks like a great find.... Tom

Never saw this iron until this thread. Now one pops up on E-Bay sans base.

Wow,  isn't that the way it goes.   I don't think it will go for much without the base,  but you never know.   Those paddles on Ebay look to be in pretty good shape.   Maybe better than mine.  Hmmmm......maybe time for some new paddles?
