Perfect, with two heat controls, for your twins to make twiin breakfasts.  Is the griddle cast aluminum or iron?

aluminum.  If you look at the 1927 catalogue, there are similar version, but not exactly the same.

I have one that I just finished rewiring, but mine is model #330E and the wattage is 1750.  Yours may be a bit older than mine Greg as yours has 'patent applied for'  and mine doesn't, but there are 2 screws to do nothing where your plate is.
It works like a charm.

Jenny and I saw one,  a griddle too,  for around $100.00 in an antiques store somewhere.   Been to too many to remember off hand. ::)   Was pretty kewl.
