Manufacturer?
« on: March 01, 2005, 09:14:32 PM »
I bought a skillet this week end at a garage sale in very good condition, it is a 10" skillet. The only markings are a large number 10 on the bottom opposite the handle and small Z on the bottom same side as the handle. It has a heat ring with three notches at 9, 12, and 3 o'clock. Can anyone tell me who the maker might be?
Thanks

Jim,
Is the "Z" raised and indented?  Raised is older and from when Lodge was making very nice quality iron.

Any iron left in Temple City?  I used to get some there about 10-15 years ago when it was a tiny place with good antiques shops.

Thanks Guys, The Z is indented. The skillet is a very nice one, used alot and very well seasoned. Not aware of antique shops in Temple City I have lived here for 35 yrs.
Thanks again
