I was finally able to convince my wife we needed a hotplate. I just had to forgo both a birthday and Christmas gift. It was worth it.
I got it local off of craigslist, paid $75 for it. I really like the desigh of the burner grates, reminds me of a football field.
Everything is rusted. But just surface rust, no real damage. It is already apart and most everything has been put through the electro bath already. The valves are in great shape. They were originally nickel plated, but that has long since corroded to a flat grey color. Ill try and polish those up a bit. The manifold will need to be replaced. I call it the manifold, the iron pipe that the valves are screwed into. The holes for the valves dont line up with each other, enough that the end of the orifices are almost 1/2" off from each other. No big deal, just a peice of 3/8 black iron, and I already have a 3/8-27 tapered pipe tap. A good project for the winter.
Ill post more detailed pics later. And I will be taking photos of my restoration progress, I like that sort of thing.
