Hey Jimmy, I actually know who made this skillet. I believe it's circa 1910, made in a foundry by a man who was very dirty at the time.  ;D ;D

perry i think $60.00 would be cheap for this skillet..does lodge make a skillet today this size ? if so how much ?

Jimmy Lodge makes a two handle 17" skillet.  They sell anywhere from $60-$90.  As for this skillet, I've seen them before, and they even made a #20 with the same single handle.  I have no idea who made them though.

i agree with perry though..it sure is a lot of sugar for a nickel..i would think these older smooth skillets would be worth more than a new lodge the same size..as a antique and as a user..
