This  belonged to my wife's grandmother. Really smooth interior and fairly smooth exterior. The only markings are 2QT on top of the handle and two dimples underneath the handle where it joins the pot. Measures 7" at the top and 5" across the heat ring. 3.25" deep. No lid (wish I had one). Thinking this one is American made. Maybe.

I'm not sure but I think that it was said on an earlier post that these are Lodges. I don't know if that's correct but that is what I believe it is. I have one of these with a cover, but mine is marked 2QT on the bottom of the pan instead of the handle.

Just picked one of these up Saturday! Mine does not have the dimples under the handle and the "2 QT" is stamped with the "2" next to the pot, not the handle. other than that it looks as if it came from the same mold.
If it is a Lodge, shouldn't it also have the breaks in the heat ring as the old Lodge skillets do? Or is that just a skillet thing.
Is it worth my three bucks?

The photos are of a Lodge saucepan...they're shown in the PDF catalog on the member's side... :)

Nice fine smooth castong, and early(old). When Ed comes along he can tell you if it is Lodge. And I agree with Mr. Ed.  8-)

Not like the Lodge sauce pans I have. Mine have raised numbers on the handle and pour lips. This pan is cast very nicely. The stew pans shown in the Lodge PDF catalog show an assit handle. I do not see any they are calling sauce pans in that catalog. Sure has a long handle like the Lodge stew pans, but I can't say Lodge for sure.

  George, is the 7" inside dia or outside dia?

  Outside diameter is 7.0" Inside diameter is 6.75"  Overall length including handle is 13".  Overall height is 3 7/16".   3.25" deep.

George, I did not get a lid with mine either. My overall length including handle is 13 and 3/16 inches. I like the big loop these handles have. Looks like Ed is not  leaning towards Lodge like the others are. Hmmmm!

Your sauce pan is definitely a Lodge. My picture is kinda dark but you should be able to make it out. This one is a 4.4 qt with lid.
Seen it all. Done it all. Can't remember most of it!

    No biggie just curious. Guess one would not need assit handle on a 2 quart pan. Georges pan must be early variation seeing that it's ground inside.
   These pages I have copied from Lodge Blue Label Line catalog must be earlier than the Lodge 1968 PDF cat. The indroduction page does not mention pre-seasoned iron, it list styles of finish,plain/unground, polished, and mirror finish. Also shows other styles of sauce pans.
