Some new toys
« on: February 28, 2009, 10:08:11 PM »
Starting to accumulate a few of these. I'm trying for a full set. This is my second toy skillet. I know the tea kettle is rough, and has no lid, but it's a start. The kettle is one I just picked up tonight. These are all CI.

This skillet is unplated. I can't find an unplated one in the book. Any ideas?

Is it a bad idea to replated any of these? I assume it is, and it would lower the value. Opinions?

I don't know about replating these.   The price to do it will probably be too much to do it feasibly.

Just take some silver paint,  and paint it. ;D  Just kidding.

The unplated skillets book the same as the plated ones, $50 - $60 (IMO too high for these days) p267 BB. It's a shame the tea kettle is incomplete. I don't think you will have much success in finding the top to go with that one. That has some unique markings on the bottom.
