A few additions
« on: June 16, 2010, 10:03:32 PM »
Been picking up a few pieces over the last few weeks. This first one is a bottom gated NES or French Roll pan. No markings, but a quality casting.

The lid for this Lodge #10 is still in the tank, but I wanted to find the production era. This one was never used. Sam, Where are you?

This set was actually an accident. I bid figuring that I would be outbid, but wasn't. That'll teach me. You'll notice that I did not clean these.

Nice stuff Chuck!!!

This is just an educated guess on the Lodge DO, if anyone else has something different please let Chuck and myself know. IMO this was the last DOs that were made before they started putting Made in the USA on the bottom - mid 50s to early 60s
Seen it all. Done it all. Can't remember most of it!

I'll take your educated guess anytime Sam. You seem to know your Lodge. I will say that. I saw it sitting at the local flea market, and figured, it looks like new, it's big, and my hands are empty. How could I pass it up. Of course when we asked about it, he called it an "Antique Gypsy Kettle". I'm glad it wasn't priced like an antique.  :)

Chuck, em's some nice pieces, very nice, a hammered Griswold Dutch Oven and skillet, complete with lids, and the Dutch Oven still has the sticker in it.  :o VERY NICE.

Chuck, you keep this up and you are going to have me hating you as much as Jeff Seago does.  ;D ;D ;D
