SMOOTH BOT GRISWOLD
« on: January 15, 2014, 09:03:20 AM »
I'm new to the forum and cast iron in general. I'm looking for a good Griswold skillet for cooking. I can't seem to find what years the smooth bottom small logo Griswolds were produced.  Can someone clue me in on this? Thanks

Chris-Thanks and great pictures. What would the dates be for the "grooved" handle? Thanks again-great forum!

The grooved handles are also listed in BB as 1944-1957..

What this means is that the time period has been narrowed down, but not specifically clearly defined... yet.

Unfortunately the old catalogs did not show the bottoms of pieces (including the bottom of the handles), but top and side views to sell the products!  {Darn It!}
