Gris trivet wall hanger?
« on: May 10, 2015, 02:32:03 PM »
Many probably have not seen  this it's been a few since I posted it. But it is a cool way to do something with a damaged skillet if you have the means and method. Guess you could call it a trivet wall hanger. Bought at auction years ago.

I remember that one Ed.  Thanks for posting it again.  I like it.

I remember that item and I like it too, Ed. I'd buy one but I don't think I want to try making one.

That's really cool.

Now I'm trying to figure out how it's made.

Only thing I know for sure Scott is that the ring wrapped around the outside has been brazed to the cast iron. Whoever cut and fit had descent metal working skills.
