Saturday's Haul
« on: August 02, 2015, 12:19:01 PM »
Several WagnerWare skillets, a Griswold, several square skillet grills, a number 10 BSR chicken fryer with lid, and a number 8 Lodge 3 notch heat ring chicken fryer with lid, along with some misc. including a cool no 9 bottom gate with a handle that looks like the twin of the no 7 I posted a while back. Fun!

Hello Frank. Congratulations on the nice haul. I really like that number nine with the recessed handle. I have that skillet in six through 12, SOMEWHERE.  :-/

That garage floor is entirely too clean ;D

But I have to agree with Perry...nice haul.

I had a gate marked number 8 round griddle with the same handle

You should see the rest of the garage--my wife keeps me organized. Painted floor and drywall, and I catch her scrubbing it on her hands and knees every once and awhile. I keep telling her its a garage for heavens sake, but there it is. Unfortunately, it's now a formal part of the living space, which means I HAVE to keep it clean.

I've got about 20 pieces ready for seasoning now. Only about 200 left....I think.....

Frank that wife of yours sounds like a good woman. How will you trade on her? I've got some pieces of cast iron for your consideration. And how is she on mowin?  :-/

She mows the grass...made a deal with her 40 years ago. We had an acre and she wanted it all in grass, while I was content with half that. I said I'll plant it, but you mow it. She agreed (we were both young and dumb). Took her 4 hours by hand. She complained; my response--I bought her a tractor! Now we have 2 acres of grass--and she's worn out 3 tractors.

NO DEAL!!

Hold the line Frank.  We've known Perry to be a tenacious negotiator :o

You certainly made quite a haul.

Let's see, your wife mowes the lawn & lets you collect cast iron.  I would say that is worth at least 2 tractors :D

Frank, you add new meaning to the phrase "that's an expensive hobby!"

Hello Frank. Now on this wife proposal. It sounds like you are posturing on me a little, and thats alright. Tell her I'll get her a  beefier mower with a wider cut. That way she can get the lawn done quicker and that'll give her more time to clean fish.

And as for you Frank. I could throw in a couple more nice pieces of cast iron. And also Frank, how is she on trimming the lawn, you know, with the weed whacker and all that?  :-/
