Cast iron wine bottle opener
« on: May 20, 2017, 09:15:18 AM »
A friend of mine picked this up at a garage sale and sent pics.  I have never seen one but it is an interesting piece.  No marking on maker and I have seen where these are reproduced. One screw looks to be modern but unsure if it has been replaced or is a tell tale of a repo.  He is interested in selling and I may be interested in it just for its uniqueness.  Is there any of the wags gurus that are up on this type of item that can point me in the right direction to determine what we have and an approximate value.

Looks like 3 phillips head screws on the last photo, The phillips head screw was  patented in 1958 so if they are original then the item was made after 1958.
