Unmarked Popover Pan Wagner Griswold WagnerGriswold Other
« on: June 03, 2017, 07:36:08 PM »
Picked up a popover pan today, only markings I can see are Made in USA, physical appearance is the same as the Wagner Ware Number 10 and the Griswold Number 10, Here are some pics, I'm thinking Wagner Ware post 1959.
It is in the lye tank right now but before it went in I took a good look at it, very well made, nice smooth finish.

Ironically when I picked this one up there was an identical popover pan underneath it, Except it was marked made in Taiwan, They both appeared to be the exact same sizes and finish.

Here are two other pans that show the progression of the markings. The first is a completely unmarked pan, but the original hang tag states, "The Wagner MFG. CO. Sidney, Ohio." The second photo shows a pan very similar to yours, but it has the WW logo on it still.

Here is another pan, and the original box it came in. A GHC era Griswold revival pan. It is marked just like the one you found. This pan I would date as post 1970 GHC.

Nice piece Valerie, it sure does look to be very smooth.
