Hello from San Diego
« on: November 18, 2017, 12:58:35 PM »
New to the site and new to CI collecting this year. I grew up learning to cook on a old cast iron griddle that is currently my mother's, previously my grandmother's, and requested to become mine in the distant future (just discovered it's a large logo Griswold #9 during my yearly trip home to NJ). Moved across the country, re-discovered vintage cast iron after attempting to purchase a new Lodge and being confused/disappointed by the quality and then looked up the reason why it was so different than my memories of cast iron.I purchased a vintage Wagner Ware and haven't looked back. I'm excited to be here.
