Made it back from deployment...
« on: December 07, 2015, 03:44:25 PM »
Well folks, I made it safely back from deployment. This one was only 5 months, so a short one as far as my experience goes. But it is good to be back.

Next thing on the plate is a move across country. I will be stationed in upstate New York (Saratoga Springs area). So I am looking forward to hunting new grounds for the cast iron. I will not be selling online for the time being though. I have to focus on the move. Come February/March I will get the inventory going again.

It looks like a lot of things have been going on since I have left. That is good, so it will take me some time to get through most of the new posts. Anyhow, I have missed this forum and it is good to be back.

It is great to be back!

As an explanation for an extended absence from the forum, yours is the best I have heard.  I'm sure you're glad to be home.  Besides, as some of you know, we can always use another Easterner around here ;D

Welcome back home James. Its good to have you back here with us. I know a few folks who was over in them bad places. The railroad loves Vets. Give them what they need to get the job done, and then get the hell out of the way. They know how to follow orders too.

Welcome Back James....

Now... you're gonna be in New York (or are already)....

So the Pennsylvania contingent needs to strategize to track your movements when you cross the state line into PA hunting 'our' iron.

Thanks for the welcome back, Cheryl! Don't worry most of the iron I find in the North East will be available for purchase! At a 'modest' profit naturally!  ;D

Eric,

I am very familiar with the town of Ballston Spa. I have done quite a bit of fishing at Ballston Lake. There is (at least 5 years ago there was) a large building that had been converted to an antique mall. There also is a business building that once was a chocolate factory. It is a nice place to visit!
