Gunner Hagstrom & Tora Thornley Weekend Finds!
« on: October 27, 2022, 09:11:14 PM »
This weekend Tora and I traveled to Connecticut to do a little bit of iron hunting. We got a lot of nice pieces spanning from beautiful fancy handles to Erie/Griswold/Wagner, to other fabulous pieces. I am sure some of you saw my post on Facebook about my truck being a tad overloaded, but I thought it was a good introductory post about us as well. I have been learning about cast iron for about 2 years now, and Tora is just starting as this trip to CT was her first iron hunt. If you have any questions please feel free to ask! I will post more photos as I sort through these goodies.

A tad overloaded??  Yeah, I think so!!

That's quite the haul.  Looks like you found some great iron.

You might want to save a couple pennies for some new shocks!

Luckily the truck was ok haha! It was for sure more overloaded than it should be but I couldn't leave it behind!

Now, the fun really begins.  Looks like a fair piece of restoration in your near and distant future.

If this is the result of one little excursion, you might consider a larger vehicle for the next shopping trip.  The problem with making such a terrific score so early in your addiction is that you have to keep expanding the radius of your search because it looks like you might have exhausted the supply in this area.  Good Luck on your next treasure hunt!!!! :woohoonaner2gy: :flag:

OMG, I've been to auctions that didn't have that much iron for sale.  I know interest rates are high but if this keeps up you will need a line of credit.
