Cut and paste to the url line worked for me. That is actually a pretty nice piece that someone might pay extra for based on style and condition. I don't think that reddit page was a sales page. There will be a notable price difference between examples like the restored one on reddit. You can find single burners that are fairly similar on ebay or other sites. Be patient, and you will get a good price, although it will probably still be a project to clean up.
I was able to resize the photos for viewing here.
Welcome to the Forum, Val. Most of us have been bitten by the Griswold bug at one time. Some have been permanently infected. Sometimes it is Griswold skillets, sometimes waffle irons, sometimes kettles, etc. that bites us. That restoration appears to have been very well done. I'm sure it is a lot of detail work. Good luck with your shopping.
Thanks Val.I never really thought about having one of the stoves in my possession but now you have me thinking. Which rarely ends up a good thing
Hi everyone, I'm a lurker and a huge Griswold fan. I own a few vintage pieces, which I cherish dearly. Lately I've been on the hunt for a Griswold single burner stove. I would love to find a working piece, but it's not a deal breaker if it's not working. My home is filled with primitive pieces/decor, so I'd prefer a No 601 or a No 201, as I noticed these ones are super plain (my style). That is, not too ornate like the No 501, but even this isn't a deal breaker. Basically I'd love to have a single burner, which I intend to use. Here's a link to one I fell in love with on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/CastIronRestoration/comments/vrnck6/griswold_single_burner_hot_plate_restorationAnyway, thanks!ValerieAdmin Note: Link Repaired 06/23/2024 C.
