AAA Chemicals - NO MORE Sodium Hydroxide
« on: February 26, 2014, 03:54:06 PM »
The hunt is on for alternate suppliers.

Based on Trevor's post last night, I just called AAA Chemicals in Texas.

They are no longer carrying ANY Sodium Hydroxide of any size or grade.

So.... there goes another previously reliable supplier.  :)

So, anyone who has found another source for Sodium Hydroxide, please post on this thread.

We already know about Essential Depot, and Roto, and Roebic (local stores).

I ended up buying Rooto online, its too expensive to buy a larger quantity in stores. I searched for hours comparing prices....Shipping is what really gets you. I also tried to use amazon prime for free shipping and checked a ton of websites to see if they offered free shipping over $50.

I ended up getting it from here for $3 each with shipping (20 lbs):

Amazon was the next cheapest price:

I questioned the Rep at AAA Chemical regarding the reasons, and was told that they are narrowing the product line, and that the chemicals they will be selling, will be 'bulk' quantities (drums) only.
