Making Progress - new outdoor Cleaning Station
« on: May 08, 2014, 03:39:10 PM »
Finally!
Since I am using locking lids for lye baths, I am installing vents in the lids.  They will be placed in direct sunlight to help keep things heating up in the warm months, so.... First one completed!

(I do have to go make a small 'screen' insert for the vent, because the earwigs just love my lyebaths, and it is gross to see their skeletal remains floating... ewwww!

As for the screen, if that is a plug on top, just don't screw it in tight...will keep the earwigs out yet lets gasses out at the same time....

Filled up with water, all of them, and ready for mixing (the appropriate ingredient (s)......)

To ward off the insect population, each vent has a piece of round mesh inserted into the top tube.... take that ! nasty earwigs....

PS... Raymond, those plugs are for winter use, when I no longer have to worry about heat expansion..... :)
