And this is why I let a #20 Skillet slip away... could not figure out how I would lift it, let alone CLEAN that puppy!  :D

I saw one of these 30 gallon kettles earlier this week. Biggest piece of iron I'd ever seen, besides Vulcan, of course!

You might have to go old school. Get some kind of shims, take it outside and with a level get that thing squared up level. Then fill with vinegar and water, and let it do it's thing. The outside  may have to be done with a wire brush on a drill. To season I'd do it over a fire with one of them fancy laser thermometers and when it got around 450-500 degrees F, get to seasoning.  Good luck!

Fill the inside of it with solution and suspend the Cathode inside for reverse electrolysis.  Spray the outside down with oven cleaner and wrap it up for a while.  Go over it with the SOFT wire brush if needed and season it up.  Keep us posted.

agree with Roger, as that is how I clean the inside of tea kettles.
