A new Gadget for Cleaning Iron....
« on: November 19, 2014, 06:07:20 PM »
and you know how I luv gadgetry!   ;D

Was in Home Depot a couple of weeks back, and they had some product Demo tables set up....
Demo's were over, but this product caught my eye!

So I grabbed one, and have been playing with it.

It does a nice job cleaning Cast Iron pieces after use...

And the really neat thing is... it is adjustable! just as advertised!

Gentle scrub... HOT water rinse first... nice soft scrubby!

Stubborn spot.... well run it under COLD water... and you now have a stiff scrubby!

Of course, I paid full price, and NOW they are on sale for less... :)
So I will be needing to go to Home Depot in the next 2 days, so I am going to pick up a 'few' more!

Cool.  :) Since you missed the demo, you can see one here:

I thought the eyes and mouth were a little silly, but they are there for a reason. :D  Going to have to get a couple myself now.  3.48 at Walmart..what was Home Depots price?
There is also a Heavy Duty line and a Lemon Fresh line.

Maybe I can throw away my old green scotchbrite pad afterall... ;) :P

See what the online inventory says for your local store...
Or if you have a ship to store option.

Scrub Daddys' came and they are GREAT for cleaning CI. Use it stiff for anything that might have stuck, then soften with hot water for the final wiping and rinse. Guaranteed not to scratch any surface, so very seasoning friendly. I highly recommend...thanks for sharing this, Cheryl.  ;)
Haven't tried it on anything out of the lye or electro yet, but I will be soon, I'm thinking it will work really well.
