Corroded aluminum lemon squeezer

I picked this up recently and wondering the best way to clean/restore the aluminum cup. Can't really get in there very well with sandpaper. What would you do?

I'd run it through the self-cleaning oven, then simmer it in a Cream of Tartar solution for about 30 minutes.  That has cleaned up corrosion for me in the past.  You still have the pits and damage, but the discoloration is gone.
