Original Gate marked casting Heart & Star Skillet mold Excellent cast iron

This is only the second gate marked heart and star aebleskiver I've seen on ebay in the last 3 years. They don't come up too often. Maybe gate marked items are finally starting to get some respect.

No. 4 Vienna roll pans seem to be popular for sellers right now. There are at least 6 up right now. Asking price for all is quite a bit higher than the aebleskiver. We'll see if any of them sell.

Beautiful pan Russell.  Did you buy it?  I might have, but maybe not.  The heart star pan sold by Alfred Andresen is one of my Holy Grail pans.  It offered in his 1904 but not in any of the photographs.  It would not be gate marked, but I would expect to see his markings on it, at least AA&Co.  I really don't think he ever actually sold it.  But I do keep an eye out once in a while.

I'm not sure I would call it an aebleskiver pan since you really can't turn them as they cook, but Alfred does list it on the Danish Cake Pan.

By the way, for folks that haven't fallen for them yet, most of the heart star pans you see on eBay are Asian knockoffs.

I did not buy this specific pan. Here is a post I made a while back that shows my pan. I must admit that I paid significantly less for mine. Many people post here requesting prices and asking, "what is my piece worth?"
The only answer I can really give is that it is worth what you are willing to pay for it.
And on that day, someone was willing to pay that price.
