If there is a 946 at one end and nothing at the other end you have variation 3, rareity 3. The rareity no. is a relative thing (1 to 10) with 10 being the rarest. You can find collectors books on Griswold items from a couple of web sites owned by members located to the left. Griswold hand ground their skillets on the inside, making them very smooth. Some items left unground have beautiful castings, some don't. When it was made has something to do with this, the older being the better, but not always. The book "Griswold muffin pans" by Jon B. Haussler has you pan at $75 to $100, however, since that book has been out, most collectors agree that the market is a little weaker. My guess is $60 to $80. Welcome to WAGS website, C B
