How much could I expect to pay for a Spider Logo Griswold pan?  I've kept a search running on Ebay and have yet to see one come up.  Anyone have one they'd sell really cheap?  John

John: I don't know what your definition of "cheap" is. I would gladly pay $2,000 for a nice one.

Expect to pay at least $1000 on ebay for a nice one but it will still have some "problems" like not having been cleaned so you may not know there could be a crack or two.  I know of a $1200 one that was uncleaned, looked great, but had a very fine hairline crack.  More like $1800 and up for a really nice one.  They come on ebay 3-5 per year it seems though some may be reruns of ones not sold the first time.  There is a large web of people looking for good ones so why would anyone sell one cheaply?
I've never had one in my 30 years of collecting but I've seen plenty.  Just not that "cheap" one in the pile of dirty skillets at the flea market.

John, I think Greg had one a while back he was trying to sell on ebay.

Guys I didn't realize they were that expensive.  I think I will stick to looking at them in the Griswold blue books.  John

you might be able to get a Griswold spider tea kettle about $600, that would be the most inexpensive spider logo piece that I can think of.

Thanks Greg.  I sure hope I find one of them in a garage or estate sale one of these days.  I would have to run to the car with the pan to keep from showing any emotion.  Would anyone ever sell a broken one at a reasonable price?

John,  you just have to keep looking.   We got our spider off of Ebay about 2 years ago.   It is pitted.   But the price was right.   Greg Stahl was second high bidder.   I don't know if you would call it cheap,  but it was ALLOT cheaper than a perfect one.
