Might have goten lost in the photos, but I stated earlier that this is an exact match in size to our #9 GOOD HEALTH. Therefore, it is 11 inches inside the rim and about 11 3/8ths including rim. The is a sltigh bowing to the bottom, however it is not large enough to make the pan wobble. I can feel it better than see it.
As for the lid info, Steve I believe I understand what you are saying but I am inclined to disagree. As anyone who reads my posts knows I am not an expert, but I find it hard to believe that such a "useful" lip is mearly "decorative". Perhaps it is the Biologist in me that refuses to believe that such an end product was not based on function. Perhaps it evolved over time, perhaps it was created "divinely" by the mold maker (let's not get into any Darwinian debates.....). Either way, I am inclined to believe it was a very attractive but USEFUL design item that allowed the cook to fashion a lid. Just my 1.5 cents worth! BUT WE CERTAINLY AGREE THAT THIS PAN IS A REAL LOOKER!
