Patent Date Chart 1836-1965

Just found this on the web and thought it might be interesting.

Probably most of you know about this but maybe newbees like me might find it useful. It lists the dates the patent number was issued.

Ray, good chart.  Just remember that there are also DESIGN patents and they have lower numbers than INVENTION patents for which that chart is for.  When looking up a design patent (like the Griswold patent for their wheat stick pan) you have to put a "D" in front of the number.  Many people see a patent number and assume it's an invention patent when it's actually a design patent.

This is a good chart, thanks Ray. I wish we could find one like it for design patents, too. It's great to have patent information in the new PDF pages. I wish that on the US patent site that one could look up patents by date. I think that is not possible until around 1957 or so onwards. That would make it a lot more convenient that going through the old patent records -- though I know I'll enjoy doing that when I get to a patent office.
