Curious if anyone has purchased and used any products from Appalachian Cast Iron Co. based in Johnson City, TN?

I hope to get one of their waffle irons asap..... I was too slow when I had a chance to order a few weeks ago. I think they sold out and are making more.

If you go to their site and sign up for their newsletter, the owner tells me that in the next newsletter there will be a coupon code that will get you a waffle iron at the old price.... I THINK it was $159. The last publicized price I saw on their site was $179, which I assumed was their "price increase" price??   https://www.appalachiancastiron.com/news

Edit: The price with the coupon was $179, including FREE shipping!

My new waffle iron arrived over the weekend! SUPER impressed with the craftsmanship! I hope to use it for the first time sometime this week!
From the label on the package, company owner Tony has a good sense of humor!

OH...... MY......GOODNESS!!!!! All I can say is WOW!!!!!!     We went to our local REAL grist mill, War Eagle Mill yesterday with some friends that were visiting from Washington state. (If you want some awesome products, check out their website!

https://wareaglemill.com/product/pecan-cinnamon-whole-grain-pancake-mix-2/

While there, I bought some of their Pecan Cinnamon  Pancake Mix that can be used for waffles. DELICIOUS!!!

The recommendation received from Appalachian Cast Iron Company about using an infrared thermometer was really handy, since I have one of those.

Paul, did you purchase it pre-seasoned or did you season it?

It comes pre-seasoned, and it looks like a good job.
