Hey Will. I can't find the #8 Best Made rectangular griddle either. In the Books that is. But I can find it in the CI room at my house. All prettied up and on display. ;) I got it about 2 weeks ago along with 34 other pieces of iron. I don't think it was ever used, or if it was, it was very little. I've seen listings for skillets and round griddles but nothing for this one. I like having the odd stuff. Her's some pictures of said griddle.

I see that the Gris. # on the un marked skillets, 668, 669, 756 and that 9 on that same sk. is the same funny numbers (6s and 9s). Very interesting.

Yes thats true Clark. What I am getting from this conversation is this. Did Griswold make these special for some reason, a manufacturer, a particular line, etc. something along those lines? Anybody got any idea on this? Are these skillets more shallow, more deeper, heavier, thinner, anything like that?  :-/

Clark, I don't think the oval kettle is a Griswold piece. Some have said it may be Wagner because of the drip rings and the style of numbers. Interestingly, I don't see the #'s on the picture you posted. Perry, the skillets are smaller than the regular skillet line, same size as the Victors.
