Unmarked Wagner Hammered Skillet and Lid?

Just want to see if I'm correct in my assumption that this is an unmarked Wagner.

That's an 8 in the center of the lid.

I see a little dot on the underside of the handle right up against the edge of the pan.

I'm not convinced, something about the handle bottom don't look right to me, but then, I've not seen everything yet so it could be.  Lid sure looks Wagner to me but that handle bottom...hmmm.

Nice cleaning and seasoning Chuck.  Do you still have time to work?   :)

Well Ed, I'm not sure why, but the top element in the stove burned up and I don't even use that one for seasoning. The camera seems to be holding up but I'm going through batteries like they're going outta style. We do drop them in a used battery drop off where my wife works.

Ron, I'm still learning so I'm open for comment on what it is. Work? Let me think...... Oh yeah, that's right, I was wondering why I get up at 5:00 am every day and go to that building, and do all that stuff that I do. ;D ;D Guess my minds a little preoccupied with CI. The electro has been running 24 / 7 for quite some time now. 3 or 4 pieces at a time for 24 hrs. Start them around 3:00pm, and get them out after work around 3:00pm the next day. Of course, load 3 or 4 more in. Scrub the pieces that just came out, dry them, and season them. While they are seasoning, I'm on here, learnin', and buyin', searchin', and sellin'. Way better than work.

  It looks flawed where it's attached to skillet. Is that what looks different to you Ron? It does not have that nice little triangle shape there with a small dot on it that is usually seen there. The hammer pattern and the way the hammering rolls around the bottom edge look Wagner to me.

I don't know if you are referring to me or another "Sam" but, I'll give you my oponion anyway. My knowledge about Wagner is just about limited to knowing that before the 60's they made some good CI. I think it is a Wagner and a nice one at that.

Yeah,  the little familiar triangle and the whole bottom from the scoop to the pan.  This one looks like it has a 'block' where the triangle usually is, I've not seen that before on Wagner.  Just looks different than most I've seen.  Also, looking at the side view the handle looks like it might have an arc to it, maybe just the picture.  Suppose Wagner might have had a different handle design on hammered items?

Heres a stylized WW #10 c/n 1060. Has that small block where attached to skillet. Yes, I realize the handle in my pic differs in other ways, just to many variants. Mainly judging Chucks skillet from hammer pattern.

Thanks for posting the picture Ed, I have not seen that particular handle before.  Something else now to look for...Ahh hell, I look for everything cast iron anyway so what's the difference!   ;D
