Displaying your Iron

I want a wall-mounted pot rack.  Hubby's not too keen on the idea.  Since it seems like I'm starting to pay more attention to cast iron, I have a feeling that a pot rack may not be enough.  I also have a very small kitchen, and the only place that I have enough wall space is above/next to my kitchen table.  Maybe 7' wide.  How do you all display your cast iron cooking pieces?  I'd also probably be incorporating my copper/stainless steel pieces, too, maybe.  

I'd love to see your pictures.  I'm not sure if I just want to bang a nail into our drywall/stud but maybe it could be practical, functional, and I'd still be able to leave the painted two-man saw on the wall, too?  (That's why I think hubby doesn't like the pot rack idea, the saw would probably have to go...)

Any ideas and suggestions would be appreciated ~

still more, those are 8ft firing strips screwed to ceiling joists and hooks on a 4in center.  I could put up more, but my wife is very adament about not having iron hang over her car.

I use a skillet display rack that takes up minimal room on my counter. Works great . Like this one. Not mine but you get the idea. I purchased mine on here from a member and she had some color options. I have one red and one black.

At one time, about a million years ago, when I collected Lodge only I kept all my new CO on a set of shelves sold by Sam's Club. I now have seven sets of these shelves and still don't have room for it all. Here is a picture of some of my new Lodge stuff taken a couple years ago.

I have seven of those setups down in my basement filled with iron and that's about 50% of my collection/addiction.  The rest is upstairs, in the kitchen, office, dining room, living room, parlor and well  you get the picture.

I don't know who you're asking, but if it's me I used 60# S Hooks, twisting one end 90 deg.

Mine are just a wood screw hook, then I opened the hook up for the handle to fit better.  Will get you a part # when I get home from work.

Here you go, home depot < hooks & eyes #10 screw hooks 50pcs >

Some C/O's on the hearth and advertising skillets on the wall, and yes my wife doesn't gripe about them. Oops, I don't have a wife.

It's Lodge's biggest one, 16", 12 Quart. If I ever get out West I still plan on getting me a couple of the MACA's. Now there is some big ones.

Diane, my husband is a blacksmith and could custom make a pot rack for you and maybe still keep your saw on the wall you can check out our website, www.vermontcountryiron.com and click on the kitchen page anything you see can be made to fit your space or you could design your own, if you email us a photo of the space we could also design something to fit.
