H.8 Griddle

Any ideas about this one? the only markings are H . 8 on the bottom

You sure you haven't been snaping pictures of my iron  :P
Mine even has about the same flaw markings as yours on the bottom.
Oh, by the way, they are BSR, older series ( Red Mountain ) prior to WW2.

Wow, that does look the same. Must be identical twins. I thought all of Birmingham Stove and Range had a V shape to the bottom of the handle. Were these old griddles an exception to the rule?

There are some exceptions, but very few.  The "H" . size is a typical BSR marking.  the newer after WW2 ( Centurary Line ) are marked like the Centurary Skillets ( NO. size ) then the actual inches under that.
