Todays haul
« on: May 17, 2009, 12:56:58 PM »
Went to the local flea market.   Here is todays haul.

Vollrath cast iron tea kettle.
2 Wagner 1384 chef skillets.
Wagner nickel plated B pan.
Griswold #10 block EPU griddle.
Wagner "USA" #5 skillet
Wagner "USA" #12 skillet
10 inch spider skillet with gate.
Wagner unmarked #2 handled gem pan.

There was LOTS of iron out there.   And the prices were not bad.   The thing I paid the most for was the Vollrath.   I have never seen a cast iron kettle by them.   I will post more pictures for Chris to post of the Vollrath.

$60 for the Vollrath? Perry told me you were cheap. Somebody call an ambulance, Wills not well.  ;D ;D Just kidding Will. That is a nice haul. I'm gettin' jealous here. A #2 Wagner Gem?? I need me one of them, and for that price to.

Well Will, you haven't made me plumb sick, but, I am going to puke though.  ;D I think those little three cuppers bring at least a couple three hundred on ebay. And I don't like tea kettles Will, SO, I only got a few.  ;D

I got a number 6 GF Filley teakettle a few days ago. Pretty little sucker.  ;)

Perry,  I think the little 3 cup like this brings about $75-150   I have one,  now two,  and could not turn it down.   The last marked one brought like $550   WAY out of my price range.

I have a few tea kettles,  not a big collector of them either,  but that Vollrath just said,  take me home.   You have heard that voice too with that nice #6 GF Filley.

Yes #9 skillet. It's in good shape, usually the porcelain is beat to death on these.

What a pretty blue skillet Ed!!!

Will I remember the last unmarked Wagner #2 bringing 250 on Ebay.  I am sure that it was unmarked and I am sure that it brought more than 200 but I am not sure just how much it was.  Nice haul overall Will!!

Jeff,  it brought that much?   I remember a marked one selling not long ago,  I think it brought over $500.00    But I didn't remember what the unmarked brought.

Thanks,

Hey Ed, speakin of steal. I asked Clark to show me that D/O you're talkin about here, and he wouldn't even show it to me, said he was afraid I'd STEAL it.  :( :(

I tried to find what it sold for in my notes but I think that they got lost in some of this semesters homework!  >:(  I remember thinking at the time that the BB was right about at least one piece of Wagner and I know that it was this one.  I will keep searching through my files to see if I can find that one.
