Author Topic: Cornstick pan Per logo H in circle (Read 7409 times)

HI,
I bought this great pan this weekend but have had no luck researching it. It is a small 8 1/4" long corn stick pan signed only PER on back. The pan has mold for 7 small corn sticks each with an H in a circle logo on them. I am guessing it was made for a restaurant or similar. Any ideas as to maker or possibly who it was made for. I did see a maker Perin & Graff and thought possible and abbreviation of their name.

I'd make a guess that it was made by Hamilton Foundry., Hamilton, OH. They used the H in a circle logo on their cast iron animals. You can see the H in a circle on some dog paperweights on the Pup page.

I thought I would dig this thread back up since I found the big boy version of this pan today. It is nearly the same size as the Wagner Senior and is pictured with the Wagner Senior. I would have to believe that they used an actual Wagner pan as a pattern for these. Here are the measurements:

Wagner Senior: 15 1/16" L x 6 15/16" W x 1" T
PER H Pattern: 14 3/4" L x 6 13/16" W x 15/16" T

I forgot to add that the cast quality appears to be very good and that there are the numbers 160-17 that can be seen in the photo.

Wow Jeff - good info. I have to say I wasn't all that excited because I prefer wheat designs. But the casting quality looked really good to me suggesting that it was pretty old and probably American or NA. I like the touch of that little "medallion" on the top side.

Looks like they used a Wagner Senior for a pattern. Still kewl.

Just a few pics, and an update on this piece. An intresting ghost mark appeared after it was cleaned. Did we decide on who the maker was?

To reference the ghost mark, it is on the far right cavity in this pic. I don't know if Wagner made a pan with those markings on the end cavity, but is is definitely their ghost mark.

Chuck I cannot say that I have ever seen a senior sized pan with Krusty Korn Kobs written on the first cup??

By your measurements, they used the Wagner pan itself as a pattern for this one, but did some modifications to it which put the ghost on the end cup. JMHO
