  • WAGS:  Heartbeat of Cast Iron Cookware Collecting
Thought I was going to pull a Chuck today
« on: January 25, 2010, 08:01:57 PM »
A friend sent me an email..saying that on the local swap shop some guy was wanted to get rid of 150+ pieces of cast iron including some Griswolds, wanted someone to make an offer. I called and left a message, I was turning flips....and bouncing off the walls, then he called me back. Said they were all cast iron ash trays, with some Griswolds. He said, he had been collecting them for 25 years or so. I wasn't really interested....so are there any value in the little cast iron ashtrays? I figure the Griswolds are worth less than $10 each, and a lot of them are advertising ashtrays.

Might want to check them out as there could be Griswold advertising ashtrays in the mix??  BB Page 185.  They bring a pretty penny and don't forget about the Griswold 0.

Rick, you better check them out before I run over there and grab them up.  ;D ;D Jeff is right. The 0's and the advertisement ashtrays bring top dollar. You might want to check it out.
