Thanks all, I thought it was a popcorn popper... I guess it would pop popcorn too. Thanks again, makes sense now.  Anyone know how much I should go on it.  I know I should go up to what I'm willing to pay, but then I do that and come home to find out that I was willing to pay way to much for it.  Then when I look at the piece all I can think is I made way to much for that, making me like the piece far less.

So the legs hold it off the roaster/wood stove? Wonder if the legs are cast for an "opening" on a wood stove? Whats the diameter? Interesting.

Hello Paul. Those legs go down in the open eye of the stove, and the whole thing fits right down in the eye, up to that rim you see, like a chicken on a nest. If it just sat on the stove, when you turned the crank it would go all over the place, so the legs are mooring it down, so to speak.
