Stover waffle irons
« on: December 01, 2013, 10:07:21 PM »
I have an 9 and 8 stover waffle irons. On both of them, the two paddles are different. Is this normal, or are they a mismatched set. I'm going to either give them away, or throw them away because they were media blasted, then painted

They are correct pairs.  In my mind, they are about the most wretched of all waffle irons to clean.  Look at all the itty bitty corners.  I can see why someone would blast them.

Was the media sand or glass?  If not, they ought to be fine.

Did you know this is the same Stover that made the old hit and miss engines?

I don't know what the media was. It was an estate sale purchase. I bought about 6 WI's most were painted. I lye tanked one of them to see what was under the paint, and the metal was pretty gray underneath, a sure sign of some sort of media blasting. I don't feel like messing with them.
