Great score!  Congratulations on your first ERIE pan.  I regularly cook in my # 9 4th series.  Its too nice a pan to leave on the wall for long.  The 3rd series 10 also gets some time on the stove when I need a bit more room.  I've only ever had the 1st series 12 on the stove once when I needed a really big batch of refried beans.  I was amazed I could one hand the 12 fully loaded with beans!  You are going to have a hard time NOT cooking in yours!  Enjoy!

I paid $20 something for my #6 ERIE from someone who didn't know what it was. It has a small casting flaw a chip taken from the top side near the right pour spout, hardly noticeable.

Karen, I pick up the sulphur pitted and less than perfect ERIES for users.
My Number 9 Erie was supposed to be a wall hanger, until the first round of seasoning revealed a hairline in the side wall..   It is now a user, too!

[size=12]Me too Cheryl!  ;D  ( I still need to replace the #9 for "the collection")

And Rebecca...  I regret to inform you that acquisition of  "ERIE" skillets do not help to alleviate the symptoms of castironitis...   ;)

In fact, I am finding that the acquisition of "ERIE"s severely aggravates the condition ... ;)
