YEap, I thought so too, but I also have the Wusthof knives and the spatula is great.  Sort of like the Vitamix 'blender', it costs a lot of money, but I'll tell you that once you use it, it is worth every penny.

I LOVE my Wusthof knives, they're worth every penny. But I'd have a hard time paying that much for a Wusthof spatula. I use the Dexter Russell spatula, and it's worked great for me.

You were right Greg. On your advice, I asked for the Wusthof spatula for Christmas, and I agree that the quality is definitely worth the cost.

I got a little grumbling about the price of a spatula from the "gift giver", so I didn't push my luck on the Vitamix blender ... maybe next year. :)

Thanks for the recommendation! Hope you're doing well.

I have a couple Dexter-Russel made in the USA spatulas (4 x 2.5" and 2 x 2.5") that I bought new off amazon.ca and I love them. I think they are the greatest match ever for cast iron. I don't find they damage seasoning at all, and I regularly scrape stuck bits (bacon, etc) off the bottoms of skillets.
