Found a #6 dutch oven
« on: February 08, 2014, 04:09:29 PM »
Hey guys, I was just out looking around and saw a #6 Griswold dutch oven.  Unfortunately, they said they didn't have the lid though.  Does anyone know what the date would be for this one and if the logo is a small or large or does it matter?  I haven't made the purchase yet because I'm not sure if it's worth it without the lid?  The price was $14, is that good?  I'm not too familiar with the dutch ovens yet.  Thanks guys!

I think I would pass on that one. The sides look fire damaged.

For fourteen dollars I'd sure take a chance on it. It looks alright to me. I think it would clean up fine. The bottom looks great. I think if it would be fire damaged the bottom would show it. I'll take a truckload like that for that price. Thats my opinion.  :)

Large block logo...I'd buy it. Lid will probably cost you more though. There's a matching lid for that on ebay right now for 129.99!  :D
