BSR Skillets

Hi Ya'll. A couple of pics. of Old BSR No. 8. Check out what appears to be Hand Scribed No. 8 w/Dot at top and Letter X. They both have V handle all the way to Skillet Wall.The teardrop is same on both. Pouring spouts are same. Length of handle same.The 8 . X is heavier than 8P. Thicker walls and bottom. What ye thank Dewayne,Roger and Tom? I gave 5 bucks fer it few yr ago.Could this be one of the earliest Skillets from BSR? Bobby

Looks old, I like it.  I only have one older one like that.  I bought it at an antique mall outside of Birmingham while traveling.

I have quite a few with similar type numbers in different sizes, I seem to recall discussion on here these were thought to be the Red Mountain series or era.

Correction---BSR Skillet 8 . X does have larger pour spouts. Could this have been poured maybe in the 1920s? Just curious. Its a hefty skillet. Bobby

Need a photo of the top skillet as well. The older BS&R had very large graceful pouring lips.
