Glass lid for Martin #5

I picked up a Martin #5 and it's prefect for omelets but the glass lid I use for my Stainless Steel pan, now "previous omelet pan", doesn't quite fit.

I would like to get a glass lid like you'd see on older corningware or cast iron so I can see the egg as I am cooking. I attached a pic for reference but it doesn't need to be exact just as long as it's solid glass. 

Are there "go to" manufacturers that offer replacement lids or will I have to hunt the estate sales for an old one?

Is it that they are so hard to find that no one knows or so easy to find that it's not worth responding to?

Don't know of any go to manufacturers, but I can tell you the diameter of seating ridge/rim of the Griswold and Wagner glass lid that fits a five skillet is 7-1/2". You know the rim that fits in the skillet not outside diameter. No idea the size of the Martin since I do not have a five. Best of luck in your search.

I had accumulated stacks of glass lids from Thrift Stores, and NONE of them fit any of my Cast Iron pieces... not the skillets, not the DO's, not the Chicken Fryers, not anything.

I ended up disposing of all of them...

It is a laborious undertaking, as you need to measure the ID of the skillet, and match it with the 'retaining' ring on the glass lid.

I put together a set of Wagner Ware Glass lids.... :)

I occasionally will need a glass lid for a piece of bakeware and rather than carrying the actual item around with me I take a piece of cardboard and make a template of what I need, Does not matter if it is round,square,oval,has pour spouts or not, I make a template and write the measurements on the template, I mark the outside diameter/perimeter and the inside diameter/perimeter and I always carry a little tape measure and folding ruler with me.
Whenever I am out I will stop at local thrift stores,Goodwills,flea markets and yard sales, even if I have to buy the complete piece just to get the top as long as the price is right I will do it.
